WKB SUMMER CAMP 2026 – HUNGARY

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE CAMP! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WKB FAMILY!

The WKB Summer Camp in Hungary was an unforgettable experience filled with hard training, knowledge, friendship, laughter and memories that will stay with us for a long time.

For several days, 150 karatekas had the opportunity to take part in three training sessions every day, working with some of the highest-level instructors in the WKB.

BLACK BELT COURSE

Our Black Belt members were privileged to have a full-time course with:

  • Kancho Pedro Roiz 9th Dan – Spain
  • Hanshi Klaus Ming 8th Dan – Switzerland
  • Shihan Eveline Wallimann 5th Dan – Switzerland

Training with instructors of this level is a truly valuable opportunity.

Their experience, knowledge and guidance will not stay only at the camp — our instructors will take this knowledge home and pass it on to the next generation of WKB karatekas.

  • This is how we grow.
  • This is how we develop.
  • This is how we build the future of WKB.

DAN GRADING – AN INTERNATIONAL PANEL

Another very important part of the Summer Camp was the Dan Grading for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Dan, conducted in front of an outstanding international grading panel.

The panel consisted of:

  • Kancho Pedro Roiz 9th Dan – Spain
  • Hanshi Klaus Ming 8th Dan – Switzerland
  • Shihan Eveline Wallimann 5th Dan – Switzerland
  • Shihan Laub Janos 5th Dan – Hungary
  • Shihan Attila Kun 5th Dan – United Kingdom

A Dan grading is always a significant milestone in a karateka's journey, requiring commitment, preparation, technical ability, spirit and determination.

Congratulations to everyone who stopped forward and accepted the challenge. OSU!

CAMP TRAINING

The camp training was led by:

  •
  • Shihan Attila Kun
  • Shihan Laub Janos
  • Sensei Laub David
  • Sensei Gabor Rozsa
  • Senpai Nyitrai Tamas

Karatekas were divided into different groups and worked hard throughout the camp on:

Kihon • Kata • Kumite

Every session brought new challenges, new learning and new motivation.

We were also very fortunate to have special martial arts sessions:

  • Shihan Laub Janos 5th Dan delivered an exciting Krav Maga session for the parents, giving them the opportunity to experience something completely different.
  •  Shihan Torok Tamas 8th Dan delivered an excellent Jujitsu session for a large group of karatekas, adding another dimension to the camp experience.

BUT WKB IS MORE THAN TRAINING

One of the most beautiful things about a camp like this is that we don't only train together — we live, laugh and create memories together.

Adults enjoyed a fantastic visit to the world-famous Tokaji wine region and a wine tasting experience.

We had fun kayaking and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

We had a fantastic beach session.

And of course, we finished with an unforgettable Sayonara Party, filled with music, dancing, laughter and plenty of great memories! [?]

ONE WKB FAMILY

The camp brought together karatekas from:

  • Hungary
  • Switzerland
  • England
  • Wales

Different countries.
Different clubs.
Different backgrounds.

One WKB Family.

This is what makes our organisation special.

The friendships created at camps like this can last a lifetime, and the knowledge gained can influence generations of karatekas to come.

A huge thank you to all the instructors, organisers, volunteers, parents and karatekas who made the WKB Summer Camp 2026 such a special event.

We trained hard.
We learned.
We challenged ourselves.
We laughed.
We made friendships.
We created memories.

And we leave the camp stronger together.

 OSU!

WKB FAMILY — STRONGER TOGETHER!
